Filtering Google Play apps with one API call
Every filter of the search endpoint, how they combine, and five ready-made queries.
One endpoint, many filters
/search takes any combination of filters and returns matching apps as JSON, 100 per page at most. At least one of category, install floor, rating, release date, language or a search word is required.
curl -H "X-API-Key: $API_KEY" \ "https://apksort.com/api/v1/search?category=EDUCATION&free=true&ads=false&min_score=4.5&sort=ratings"
Five useful queries
- Clean apps for children:
category=FAMILY&ads=false&iap=false&min_installs=100000 - Paid apps that sell well:
free=false&min_installs=100000&sort=installs - Loved by many:
min_score=4.7&min_ratings=1000000&sort=ratings - Fresh and serious:
released_from=2026-01-01&min_installs=1000000 - Neglected giants:
min_installs=10000000&sort=updated&order=asc
Sorting
sort accepts installs, real_installs, score, ratings, reviews, released, updated and price; order=asc turns it around.
